Rounds and Percentage Marks

Charity. (Vector 2)

The Charity Round is where our Finalists raise money for our chosen charities. 

Written Test. (Vector 2)

The Written Test shall consist of no fewer than 20 Questions to be answered on the day of the competition. assessing the contestants knowledge of LGBTIQ+ history, current affairs and world issues.

The test shall last no more than 60 minutes.

No mobile devices shall be present throughout the written test.

No conferring between the contestants during the written test.

If a contestant finishes within the allotted time-scale they may submit their answers however must remain in the test area until the allotted time period is completed.

Audience Vote. (Vector 2)

The Audience Vote is split in two. Between an online vote and an in-person vote at The Grand Finale. 

The Online Vote will be carried out over social media.

The In-Person Vote will take place at the Grand Final, where each audience member will receive a voting slip to vote for ONLY ONE delegate.

An audience member may request another voting slip at a price to be decided by the Producer. Upon receiving the additional voting slip, there may be ONLY ONE vote per delegate. The price of the extra voting slip will be divided equally between the two charities of the ‘charity round’.

A person may buy as many extra voting slips as they please. However, there will be ONLY ONE vote per voting slip.  If there are two votes on one slip, this vote will become void.

Both the Online & In-Person votes will be tallied up by The Producer and an independent scrutineer and all finalist will be placed on to a scoreboard. 

National Dress/Regional Costume. (Vector 1)

The National Dress/Regional Costume Round will take place at The Grand Finale 

The contestant is required to display a costume or dress native to represent their local area.

A panel of adjudicators will assess this round based upon outfit, posture, poise, deportment, imagination, character, style and stage presence.

Beachwear. (Vector 1)

The Beachwear Costume Round will take place at The Grand Finale.

The contestant is required to display a costume or dress to be worn at the beach. 

A panel of adjudicators will assess this round based upon outfit, posture, poise, deportment, imagination, character, style and stage presence.

Formal Wear.  (Vector 1)

The Formal Wear Round will take place at The Grand Finale 

The contestant is required to display formal wear which could be worn at an evening reception, professional environment or in UK Parliament. 

A panel of adjudicators will assess this round based upon outfit, posture, poise, deportment, imagination, character, style and stage presence.

Congeniality. (Vector 1)

The Congeniality Round will take place at The Grand Finale.

The contestant is required vote for their fellow contestant for who they would like to win the overall competition. This will be voted on prior to the Final and made in private. The contestant will be given a voting slip of ONLY ONE slip per person. More than two votes on one slip will make the voting slip void.

The Finalist will then make their vote public by presenting their chosen finalist with a rose on stage. 

Scrutineering of The Marks.

The national costume, beach wear and formal wear will consist of the contestant being marked out of 100 by the judges. The contestant with the highest marks shall be ranked as 1. The contestant with the second highest marks shall be ranked at 2. The contestant with the third highest marks ranked as 3 and so on.(marks on a vector 1 score scale)

Charity Round will be marked by the previous winners based on the contestant who raises the most for the elected charity and based on their community engagement efforts. (marks on a vector 3 score scale). 

 

The Written Test will be marked on the contestant who scores the most correct answers on the written test. The contestant who scores the most correct answers will hold the highest marks and shall be ranked as 1. The contestant who scores the second most correct answers will hold the second-highest marks and shall be ranked as 2. The contestant with the third highest marks ranked as 3 and so on.(marks on a vector 2 score scale).

Congeniality will be marked on the contestant who receives the highest fellow-contestant votes. The contestant who receives the highest fellow-contestant votes will hold the highest marks and shall be ranked as 0. The contestant who receives the second-highest fellow-contestant votes will hold the second-highest marks and shall be ranked as 1. The contestant with the third highest marks ranked as 2 and so on.(marks on a vector 1 scale).

 

Once all the scores are tallied up at the end of each round, the contestant with the LOWEST SCORE will be considered the winner.

The contestant with the second lowest score of the contest (that year) will be awarded the title of 1st Runner Up.

The contestant with the following lowest score of the contest will be awarded the title of 2nd Runner Up.
